O Prêmio Eisner celebrará a sua 25ª edição durante a San Diego Comic-Con International, que será realizada nos Estados Unidos, de 17 a 21 de julho deste ano.

A lista dos indicados foi divulgada e inclui algumas surpresas. A liderança ficou com a Fantagraphics e a Image Comics, respectivamente com 24 e 17 indicações.

A Marvel Comics participa de sete categorias e a DC participa de apenas duas.

Dentre os artistas que se destacam estão Chris Ware (de Building Stories), o espanhol David Aja (desenhista e capista de Hawkeye) e o inglês Sean Phillips (de Fatale).

O painel de juízes do prêmio é composto por: Michael Cavna (Comic Riffs, Washington Post), Charles Hatfield (Cal State Northridge), Adam Healy (da comic shop Cosmic Monkey, de Portland, nos Estados Unidos), Katie Monnin (Teaching Graphic Novels), Frank Santoro (Storeyville, TCJ) e John Smith (Comic Con International).
