Dois brasileiros saíram vencedores do Eisner Award deste ano: os quadrinhistas Mike Deodato Jr. e Fido Nesti. O anuncio do prêmio ocorreu na última sexta-feira, 22 de julho, durante a San Diego Comic Con.

Mike Deodato ganhou o prêmio como Melhor Publicação de Humor, por Nem Todo Robô (lançado no Brasil pela editora Comix Zone, veja resenha aqui), feito em parceria com o roteirista Mark Russell.

Fido Nesti foi o vencedor na categoria Melhor Adaptação de Outra Mídia, pela graphic novel baseada no livro 1984, de George Orwell. A obra foi publicada no Brasil pela Quadrinhos na Cia. em de 2020 (veja resenha aqui), e lançada nos Estados Unidos em 2021.
